The popular manga series One Piece will be coming to theaters this winter as part of their next adventure-packed saga. Millions of Chinese animation fans await the release and are thrilled to see the animation series come to life. Following Boruto-Naruto The Movie, Authrule Digital Media, the production arm of Hylink Digital Solutions, proudly invested in bringing the popular Japanese series to the big screens. One Piece Film: Gold will follow Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they embark on an action-filled journey toward justice and righteousness.
In the film led by lead character Luffy, The Straw Hat Pirates accidentally break into an independent country chartered by the World Government, a glistening Gran Tesoro. Known as the world's greatest entertainment city, Gran Tesoro brings well-known pirates, Marines, and millionaires throughout the world to gather in this "absolute sanctuary", a place that is seemingly untouchable by even the World Government.
Introducing a New Villain: The Golden Emperor
In Gran Tesoro, Straw Hat Pirates meets the ruler of the country also known as the golden emperor, Gild Tesoro. He wins over the pirates, Marines, and even the World Government through bribes and his plans to satisfy his bottomless ambition result in major changes in power relationships within the New World.
Having the most powerful enemy ahead, the Straw Hat Pirates embark on a fateful journey in their fight for justice. Directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto and produced by Toei Animation, One Piece Film: Gold is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It premiered in Japan on July 23, 2016 and grossed over 5 billion yen (RMB 327 million) making it the second blockbuster movie by Toei Animation. This winter, Chinese movie fans will have the fortunate opportunity to see the unabridged version of the animation, with its originality being perfectly retained. One Piece, the Japanese animation television series, published its first book series in 1997. Since then, it has become somewhat of a global phenomenon followed by millions of fans all over the world.
Having waited nearly 20 years for a film release, Chinese fans will soon be meeting with the beloved Luffy in theaters. One Piece Film: Gold is already breaking records with their animation series so Hylink and Authrule are excited to bring the film to theaters and watch viewers join Luffy on a dreamy and adventurous journey!
